Philip Armstrong

With over 30 years' experience in the trust and asset management business, Philip was a founding Partner of Altamira Investment Service Inc. Prior to its sale, Philip acted as the company's CEO and Director. He became the founding principal of Jovian Capital in 2001. Philip served as Chairman of The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) and The Mutual Fund Dealer's Association (MFDA). In addition, he serves on the board of the Canadian Opera Company and the Ireland Fund of Canada.

Brian Barry 

Brian was CEO of Ericsson Canada where he revitalized the Canadian operations moving revenue from $300 to 700m.  Brian was responsible for 2,500 people in Canada and a Division in the U.S. Brian was a Board member of Ericsson North America.  Brian is the former CEO and Board member of Hyperchip where he helped to finance the company through a group of 17 investors including Advent, Siemens, Putnam, Artemis, Vertex, Argo Global, Pilgrim Baxter, Morgan Stanley etc. and Canadian Government programs.

Doce Tomic - Board Chairman

Doce Tomic is a well-known leader in the financial services industry.  Formerly of Wellington West Capital, he served as both the company’s chief operating officer and president of its Wellington West Asset Management division.  While there, he defined and implemen ted the strategy that transformed the company from a traditional brokerage firm to a leader in family wealth management and saw assets grow from $5 bi llion to $9.7 billion.  Doce also implemented the Ticoon platform to create a single advisor platform and client experience that supported Wellington’s wealth management vision.

Prior to his time with Wellington West, Doce spent over 15 years with Royal Bank of Canada in a variety of roles, including head of wealth management where he held direct responsibility for $149 billion in assets and $1 billion in revenue in five areas of business: Action Direct, Private Counsel, Private Trust, Private Banking and Dominion Securities.  

Tom Hockin

Tom recently retired as President and CEO, Investment Funds Institute of Canada.  Tom was a federal cabinet minister, 1986-1993 acting as both the Minister of State Finance and Minister of Trade.

David White Q.C.

David is a founder and director of a number of private companies including Ticoon.  David is an officer and director and general counsel for MTI, a TSX listed company.
