Rick Hyde - Chief Executive Officer

Rick’s deep expertise in the financial services industry is based on more than fifteen years of experience selling, marketing and developing web-based wealth management and financial planning software applications.

Prior to founding Ticoon, Rick established LifePlan Financial, a software and services company that launched one of Canada’s first interactive financial planning web sites and provided financial planning, education and benefits communication programs to the employee benefits marketplace.

Rick also worked for Acumen International, a U.S. financial software firm, where he sold financial planning systems to large financial institutions across North America.  In this position, he worked with hundreds of financial advisors across North America to identify and solve their financial software needs and established Acumen’s first service bureau managing the entire North American marketplace. 

Robert Ahrens – Vice President, Financial Services Solutions

As Vice President of Software Development for the past nine years, Bob is responsible for managing the internal development of the application.

Before joining Ticoon, Bob worked as a Senior Software Developer with Sun Media Inc. where he developed and provided support for his team's projects. Prior to Sun Media, he was a Project Leader/Mentor with Quadravision Inc. Bob has an extensive knowledge of Object Oriented systems analysis and development across a variety of computing platforms. Bob is particularly strong in relational database system development for financial, insurance, brokerage and private sectors.

Derek Schenk – Vice President, Technology Services

Derek joined Ticoon in July 2007 bringing over 16 years of experience in information technology, with 12 years in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Ticoon Derek was System Architect for Univeris Corporation, a provider of Enterprise Wealth management software. While at Univeris Derek was responsible for the technical architecture and design of the wealth management software and system integrations.

Derek also served as Director, Architecture and Security for Cartier Partners Financial where he was responsible for managing an infrastructure to service over 3500 financial advisors and staff. Some of Derek's key accomplishments while at Cartier include the design and development of a leading edge advisor portal that aggregated data from multiple back office sources into a single Web interface, and executing a system and data conversion of $6 billion in assets in three months.
